1. Location was exceptional 2. The breakfast was perfect, loved the home made jam 3. The view was beyond belief, I cud see whales from the common area near the shoreline 4. The hospitality was the best I have ever experienced in all iof my stays. I was dropped n picked up to restaurants as a nominal price. Had amazing conversation with Linda and uncle D{sorry i can’t remember the name :( } I could hear whales in the night and wud wake up to chirping birds. This was the holiday I needed.Even 3 nights seemed less. Thank you so much

Reggie was a perfect host. We were made welcome, looked after properly, and had a superb dinner and perfect breakfast for our needs. The main room we were allocated was unbelievably well appointed with an amazing view. We look forward to a whale-watching re-visit in 2023. A stunning property and stay. Amazing views & homey feel. Delicious breakfast made to order. Very clean rooms & a common area with everything you need. Staff was very friendly & accommodating. Manager went above & beyond to make sure we had access for late arrival. Close enough to walk to the Walker Bay Nature Reserve & caves which were so worth the climbs!

A gem of a guest house! The hosts are incredible - kind, helpful, hospitable, detailed, personable. I booked 2 rooms and both were spacious and inviting. The guest house has nice common areas perfect for reading or hanging out, and breakfast was delicious - fresh and plentiful. All around, great value for $$.

Situated in the stunning Overberg region, close to the village of Gansbaai, this lodge radiates an intimate atmosphere and boasts beautiful views of Walker Bay.

Saxon Lodge was one of the best places to stay during our three week vacation in South Africa. The owners in particular were always very friendly and genuinely interested in us. We felt at home right from the start. All our questions were answered at all times. We were given an upgrade due to minor building work on our room. The location of the accommodation is perfect and the view of the harbor is magnificent. Thank you! We would stay here again at any time.
