By the time we booked, hotel rooms in Ghent were pretty full. We felt fortunate to have found this hotel but were really blown away by the staff, by the room itself, and by the location. While this is a short walk from the center of the tourist area, that was a real plus since it meant it was very quiet at night. And in less than five minutes we were in the middle of the tourist action. Perfect. Also, we happened to stay on Sinterklaas (St. Nick's Day) and for guest who left their shoes outside their room door at night, Sinterklaas put treats into the shoes! A nice surprise!

Van der Valk Hotel Gent is a stone's throw from the city centre, close to both the E17 and E40 motorways. The facilities of the hotel is excellent and the breakfast at all the Can der Valk Hotel is an experience apart. Just love it!
