To say that the Petit Bomal team went out of their way to make our stay comfortable would be an understatement. They were all kind and attentive, provided all the necessary information beforehand, and were always happy to help whenever we needed it. We particularly loved the beautiful and calm location, the wonderful breakfast and the opportunity to pet the animals around the farm (the latter was a huge experience for our daughter).

It is thoughtfully decorated, and it is decked with all amenities one would need for a holiday stay. They also provided a complimentary bottle of wine (which we didn't touch as we don't drink), but I believe some would appreciate it. There is a nice balcony for the warmer months, but even if you go in the winter months like we did, you can watch little birds come to eat from the bird feeder from inside. There are magazines, books, also TV with Netflix to keep you entertained. Also remember seeing some colored pencils etc. for drawing/coloring. It is such a nice place inside, and keeps you so comfortable, that you you don't feel like going out that much. There are also all kinds of kitchen equipment, pots pan etc. for cooking, though we didn't use them. I can tell the owners have put a lot of passion into making this beautiful holiday home and creating a wonderful experience for travelers. I usually don't write long reviews, but my experience inspired me to :)

The hotel is located in the center of a charming, peaceful village. The room was big and clean, breakfast very tasty although repeated every day. The restaurant serves delicious dishes prepared with care and heart. There is a river not far from the hotel. The place is a good base for exploring the Ardennes region. We had a very nice time here.

What a lovely stay we had at LA Chabetaine. Every detail and need thought of and such kind and hospitable owners. They have a lovely, updated home and our room was fastidiously clean. Comfortable bed, in fact the only stay in Europe where I had a top sheet and we appreciated that so much!! Bathroom was large and nice hot shower with good pressure. We had two delicious breakfasts during our stay and they are ever accommodating. One morning we had to get up super early to drive to Brussels, yet we had a nice breakfast and fresh hot coffee waiting for us downstairs despite the time. They have a great set up and we only wished we had booked a longer stay in Bastogne. Don't miss this! Oh and did I mention the view?!?! If your from the city, you will never want to leave !
