Vanilla Hills Resort offers spacious bungalows located in the lush tropical jungle outside of San Ignacio. It is a short walk from the Mopan River and offers free Wi-Fi and parking. This is luxury embedded in nature. It is beautiful with a lovely pool and wild birds & animals around. The restaurant has the most amazing menu, outstanding quality, presentation & each recipe incorporates a local ingredient, such as fruit, tamarind, & fresh fish.

Just a 5-minute drive from the Cahal Pech Mayan Ruins, San Ignacio Resort Hotel offers an outdoor pool, an spa and fantastic jungle views. The Green Iguana Conservation Project is based on site. Very clean and staff all very friendly and helpful. Pool area is great to relax after any trips, and food (we had breakfast and lunches) is very, very good. Short walk into town and the hill (slope!) is easily manageable!! Don’t believe anyone who says it isn’t unless you have genuine mobility issues.

The location, high up in the Mayo Mountains, is unique, with endless picturesque trails that take you to beautiful waterfalls and clear blue pools where you can swim to cool off, all the time surrounded by a huge variety of colourful birds. The accommodation couldn’t be better, well furnished with comfortable beds and good hot showers. The food is superb, the coffee perfect, and the staff friendly and helpful, with a commendable approach to conservation and nature.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. We got upgraded to be able to use the kitchenette which was so helpful. Pool was so clean and refreshing. We got into a jam with our SUV in mountain pine ridge park and the staff at dream valley saved our lives, they were so helpful. Really great experience, only wished we could have had longer to just relax and enjoy the property.
