Hotel Angleterre is located on the shores of Lake Geneva facing the Alps, and is just 5 minutes by car or metro from the centre of Lausanne. The fitness centre is open daily between 06:30 and 22:00, and the outdoor pool is open on sunny days, usually from May to September. Everything was excellent, the room, the service. The pool is really nice and kept tidy. We loved our stay there.

Fabulously renovated rooms with nice amenities such as locally made soaps and such, a Nespresso machine, robes and slippers. There is a pool and the hosts make you feel at home.

The chef personally chooses the products from the market gardener, the fisherman, the breeder and the wine grower. This is a wonderful privately owned and operated hotel. It makes a change from the sameness of the multiples. Waiters are in white jackets and bows with excellent customer service. The location itself is a little village in its own right up a steep hill overlooking Montreux and the lake. The view in the morning is the most magnificent view I have ever had while enjoying breakfast. Staff are friendly, especially Jasmine, on reception. This hotel represents old world values in the best possible sense.
