We rented the car with the hotel and it was there for us when we arrived, super easy and convenient! They picked us up at the airport and dropped us off with no charge. And we also hired a guide through them and we recommend each and every one of their services!

Rooms at Hotel Hare Uta were inspired by the homes of the first inhabitants of the island. They are decorated with parquet floors and stylish furnishings, and all feature a private bathroom. We stayed for 3 nights and our expectations were exceeded. The hotel is in a good location for exploring the whole island. Our room was in a great position, overlooking the pool, was comfortable and air conditioned. The hotel’s garden, food and cocktails were all brilliant. A taxi into Hanga Roa was only 5000 CLP. We hired a car from the hotel for the day so we could explore ourselves. We then had a half day excursion with a brilliant guide the following day. She was the president of (I think) the tourism board in Rapa Nui. Learning and seeing the Moais was definitely the highlight of the trip.
