Hot shower water is available 24 hours. Staying at Heitan was a lovely experience allowing a calming and relaxed getaway from Xiamen city. It was lovely to drink tea under the trees in the courtyard and to bask in the atmosphere. The staff at the hotel were also very friendly and helpful, they kindly met us at the pier from where our ferry arrived and helped direct us to the hotel. As it was winter solstice, they also kindly made us delicious tang yuan to celebrate.

It was a delight to be served the afternoon tea in the tea room. A very good experience. The staffs were excellent and friendly. Very very helpful and we felt welcomed by Mr Zhang. The whole place is lovely, like entering a traditional Chinese courtyard house with tea rooms and a little garden and greeneries. Well preserved with probably the original wooden doors. Would recommend to stay to experience the atmosphere.
