Arenal Manoa Resort & Hot Springs ligger i Fortuna, 10 km fra Catarata La Fortuna, og har en have, en terrasse og en restaurant samt gratis privat parkering. The hotel was a "horizontal" complex in that all rooms were at ground level with just two rooms per building and the buildings are scattered throughout the property. As the rooms were on ground floor the view was limited, I guess because of privacy concerns by just stepping out the the door the the Arenal volcano is right in front of you, an amazing view! The breakfast was a well stocked buffet and the a la carte restaurant was also very good. For a less formal atmosphere we tried the excellent Sushi bar at the pool that is open til 10pm. (There is also a pizza place but we didn't try them). The staff were very friendly and helpful. Tours are available at the hotel and we took one to the volcano and another to jungle tour with suspension bridges. Both were good but we preferred the jungle tour. The thermal water hot pool was a great place to relax after hiking and sightseeing. If you have a car and feel a little adventurous the "Rio Celeste" in the Tenorio Volcano National Park is worth the trip. Its about 90mins from the hotel but be aware that the walking trail in the park is about 5 to 6 Km to take in all the viewing points and places can be uneven. To get to the waterfall there are perhaps 200 steps down (and then back up again!)

This is the place you wanna be. We come back for sure, but longer for sure. Ferm our room we could see tucans, mockingbirds and several other animals. Just amazing! Stuff excellent and free coffe and water at the reception.

The hotel is like an oasis for the wildlife, we had a night forest walk on the first night where we saw all the mammals of Costa Rica live, breakfast is nice and classy a la carte - fruit and eggs (seeme there is no "all you can eat" buffet breakfast that popular in Costa Rica). We had a room in main building orverlooking the pool, bubble bathes and volcano. The hotel garden is really nice, botanical garden where you can meet frogs, snakes, birds Hotel staff is espacially nice and helping, making really good vibe for the hotel

Offering an outdoor pool, relaxing volcanic hot springs and a restaurant, Hotel El Silencio del Campo is located 6 minutes’ drive from Fortuna. Free WiFi access is available. The whole atmosphere was so beautiful and peaceful. The staff were friendly and kind. Loved the animals, especially the cute piggy, walking around. The hot spring area is superb - after long hike in the rain forests, we relaxed in the hot spring. The bar in the area served variety of drinks and dishes - all tasty.

Rusticy style cabins attached by elevated walkways and paths and completely surrounded by jungle. Very private and special. Great food. Loved the hot springs and cool plunge ( and the slide into it ) Superior service. A unique and elevated experience. I would definitely recommend and I will go back !
