Excellent little place off "main street", only 6 rooms, quite the standard for the "hippie" place Tortuguero. Staff was exceptionally friendly, thank you Cooper and team ! They offered to put our rain soaked clothes in the dryer, we left for lunch, by the time we got back, it was waiting in our room and already folded ! The pretty Pachira Lodge is located 5 minutes’ boat trip from the entrance to the lush Tortuguero National Park. It offers an outdoor pool and sun terraces, as well canopy tours and green turtle spotting. Tico breakfast with variations, very good. Position of the rooms spread throughout the lush gardens. Houler monkeys on top of our bungalow. Splendid pool area. Fantastic!

The rooms feature an elegant décor with wooden furniture, a seating area, ceiling fan, and private bathroom with shower offering free toiletries. The place is amazing! It’s really special to have a bungalow in the middle of the jungle without any windows (just bug screens). It’s nicely located at the same island as the national park so there are a lot of monkeys and other animals around the rooms. We do recommend the boat tour activity and tortuguero hill tour offered by the hotel. Swimming pool was great!

The owner helped us with booking a night tour to see turtles laying eggs and a morning canoe trip. Initially, there was an issue with the room as there was no kitchenette for our family of 4. After a short conversation, the owner offered us an additional smaller room, which had a kitchenette along with the original room, and all was settled. Huge TVs in the rooms with a variety of streaming services.
