The staff were super friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out. Our room was perfectly laid out and clean and perfectly appointed. Loved the windows to the street. It was warm and cozy when we wanted and nice and cool when we needed it to be. One of the best rooms I’ve ever slept in. The bed was amazing! Live the location as it wasn’t in the hustle and bustle of downtown. The train station is right outside the front door so not is easy to get anywhere you want. No parking lot but there is street side parking all over the place. If we return to Hamburg, we will be staying at Clouneys!

Located in a former school building, the family-run Hotel Volkschule offers comfortable rooms in central Hamburg. Free WiFi internet access is available throughout the hotel. Curtains make it perfectly dark, they have both regular and ergonomic pillows on the bed, amazing breakfast with proper tea selection and set-up for the non-coffee-drinkers, which is rare. Free parking, beautiful spacious room, very nice and calm hotel bar area (inside and outside), really cute decorations, lots of attention to detail.

The apartment, the comfy beds, the big so well equipped kitchen (+ a huge selection of tea and a great coffee machine), the central location, close to the Altona train station, and generaly within 30-40 minutes by foot from all major attractions. But the nicest thing was our host Klaus, who was very generous, very attentive, always looking to help and very efficient. We thank him so much for that.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Rosengarten. The breakfast was excellent, including home-made jam and bread. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. This hotel is truly a little gem in the north of Hamburg and we can highly recommend a stay here. It is not far from the airport and very near to the beautiful Alster river valley and less than 30 minutes from the city centre.

Centrally situated in a quiet side street, this 3-star superior hotel is located between the lively St. Pauli district and the Schanzenviertel district. Friendly staff, comfortable accommodation and although smaller choice for breakfast, but incredible quality. Close to the harbour, but it was not a clean and quiet neighbourhood. But the hotel exceeded our expectations with its quality and service.
