Setting, Location and homely village feel was the most important elements that came through during our stay, the warmth of all the staff and the walking through the parks and forests, expecially how the village itself is build integrating forest and architecture. Designed in a loft style, all studios and apartments include satellite TV and a fully-equipped kitchenette. Some have a terrace up to 70 m² in size. Since we travelled with a small child, it was great to have a kitchen in the room. Also the room was clean and nice. There was no personal when we arrived but it was not required since The online check-in was simple and straightforward. There are two markets under the hotel, so we could buy anything we needed. The kitchen appliences, and necessary tools were all present. You do not need to reserve a parking, the street nearby had empty space for us all the time.

This was my second stay at this hotel. The first stay was in October 2024. As usual, the staff was stellar. Every request and inquiry was acted upon with a cheerful smile and prompt efficiency. They delivered 100% especially when I needed it the most. The hotel is situated across the street from the Bad Reichenhall Bahnhof (train station). No worries since the hotel has excellent soundproofing. The public areas along with the room itself were immaculate. The bathroom had all the expected amenities including hair dryer, soaps and a towel warmer. The A/C runs well and can be adjusted. There is an Aldi supermarket and a store specializing in health products and cosmetics nearby. An Italian pizza restaurant is across the street (order the spinach and salmon pizza), and a Bavarian restaurant is a few blocks away. The Avalon is a family-owned and run business so you get that special attention you can’t get at a chain hotel. I highly recommend this property.
