At check in we had a problem with the price because the booking showed a different price and at the hotel they asked us for extra money but luckily the hotel manager came and we paid what the application said. A very kind gentleman and smiling. At breakfast there was an abundance of food, juices and coffees. The rooms were extremely clean and every two days we had new towels. From my room I had a view of the street and the mountain of Quito. I would definitely stay there again!!

Unfortunately, we stayed only one night, but this place is just great and the hosts could not have been more helpful, the communication was excellent and the coffee was the best ever. This small hotel is not only new (opened three years ago) but also perfectly maintained and super clean. Tucked in a quiet and safe corner, in a short walking distance to a shopping mall (2 mins away), taxis and ATMs, the hotel is also close to the city centre, so we even walked downtown (15 mins) and back in the evening. The beds meet the standards of a four-star hotel, so you can sleep comfortably after chilling in bed watching Netflix and resting before climbing Chimborazo.

The facilities were very comfortable and I was glad I chose a local hotel.

This is one of those hotels that truly deserves a positive review. The location is excellent, and everything is within walking distance. The hotel is tidy and beautifully decorated. My room even had universal sockets, which was a nice detail. The beds are comfortable, and the internet is stable. Breakfast was delicious and filling. I especially want to highlight the staff. Extremely attentive, caring, friendly, and fluent in English. Highly recommended!

We used Casa Sakiwa as a base camp between climbing huts for almost 2 weeks. It turned out to be a little home away from home. The property is beautiful, and the location is perfect. Machachi was a great little town to spend our rest days grabbing a steak and an icecream in. The owner and staff of the hotel are so helpful, Pao helped us with a gazzilion things like transport, park access, laundry, ect. Over all it was such great value and has my full recommendation.
