Situated next to Lake Pyhäselkä in North Karelia, Holiday Linnunlahti offer self-catering apartments with a private terrace, sauna and loft. Joensuu city centre is 1 km away. Excellent location close to nature with the gorgeous Linnunlahti beach very close, but at the same time the city center is just a short bike ride away. Very good facilities (including a private sauna!) and friendly service. They rent out bicycles which is really nice for those without a car. It was a really good place to stay with kids.

This property is on a family farm, 12 km outside Savonlinna and 10 minutes’ walk from Lake Pellosjärvi. It offers a private beach, a lakeside sauna and a summer restaurant. One of the highlights of our stay was the lakeside location, complete with a free boat for guests to use. This added an extra touch of adventure and relaxation to our trip, allowing us to explore the lake at our leisure. The surroundings were picturesque, with lush greenery and a tranquil setting that provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. We were also impressed with how well-maintained and clean the property was. The hosts clearly take great pride in their B&B, ensuring that guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The natural beauty of Savonlinna was on full display, and staying at B&B Lomamokkila allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in this beautiful region.

The cottages are spacious, clean and include everything and more for your stay. The location is great, with the cottages located right at the lake. The kids loved the private jetty, the rowing boat and fishing rods that come with the cottage!

Spahotel Casino is located on a private island on Lake Saimaa, 500 m from city center of Savonlinna and the 15th-century Olavinlinna Castle is 1.5 km away. The room we were given in was outstanding with an exquisite view over Lake Saimaa. This was the best view we had from a hotel in our trip through Scandinavia. The staff was very accommodating and the breakfast had a large variety! The location of the hotel was perfect.
