I was staying alone to break up a long drive south and this was such a nice surprise. Really gorgeous room with so many nice touches and incredibly comfortable. So much character too. The breakfast was also great and all the staff really friendly. A really cool place to stay. Also, even though it’s a pub with rooms it didn’t feel like that. Everything was hotel quality, spotlessly clean and a lot of effort has gone into the rooms so they feel really special.

Excellent location, right next to the sea and a short walk down towards the town itself. The breakfast was excellent, with a good selection of hot food, and the evening meals were very good both in the choices available and the quality and quantity served. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We found it a good location to explore Wensleydale.

All the staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. The hospitality tray was filled with beverages and snacks along with 2 bottles of water. It was a bonus to have a fan in the room as I like to fall asleep to white noise. The restaurant food was delicious and the breakfast was cooked to perfection. The swimming pool looked inviting but unfortunately we didn’t have time to use it, maybe next time we will as we like the hotel so much we've already booked another stay!
