With a history dating back to 1180, Kilkea Castle provides accommodation set on 180 acres of woodland, gardens and a golf course. The staff were excellent, especially the Steward on duty at the Clubroom restaurant, who, when pressed, indulged us in historical tales and had a great sense of humour!

The Clanard Court Hotel is situated in Athy, Kildare, just a 10-minute walk from Athy Train Station. It offers spacious rooms with free internet access, a brasserie and free parking. From check-in to dinner all staff were joyful, pleasant and courteous!

Just a 15-minute drive from Dublin’s centre, The Springfield Hotel is situated in the centre of Leixlip. It offers free parking, and a modern restaurant serving hearty cuisine. I rarely write reviews but this was one of the nicest stays ever! And I stayed in a good few hotels, including the 5-star Raddison in Dublin. While the location is not very central, there is a bus to the city centre right outside the hotel. What I loved the most - ALL the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, and just genuinely nice. The room was quiet and very comfortable, the bed was huge xD The food was good, I had dinner in the hotel - Mediterranean salad, it was delicious. Lots of water available which is important to me. Cleanliness was good, and the hotel itself looks beautiful from the outside. Very chill vibes overall. I was impressed, for the price and a 3-star hotel, everything was above expectations. Cleaner, quieter and nicer looking than some 4-5 star hotels in Dublin.

Glenroyal Hotel offers superb leisure facilities, including a modern leisure club. Maynooth Rail Station is opposite the hotel and Dublin city centre is a 20-minute drive away. The central location and facilities are ideal for getting to know Maynooth and its surroundings. What deserves special mention, however, is the staff. Our daughter had to undergo a medical examination following an accident, and the receptionist immediately took care of the coordination during the night and remained a caring and empathetic point of contact for us throughout the entire time. In addition, the next morning during breakfast, the hotel manager asked about our daughter’s well-being and invited us to breakfast, which we found very considerate and hospitable. Once again, a heartfelt thank you to the entire team!

A haven of peace and tranquillity in County Kildare, just 30 minutes from Dublin’s vibrant city centre, this luxurious hotel and spa stands within acres of beautifully landscaped, private grounds. Breakfast was excellent. Location is beautiful. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
