Le Malve Cave Retreat Cave Retreat is located in Sasso Caveoso, the historic part of Matera. It boasts air-conditioned rooms with a town-view balcony and a buffet breakfast. We like everything about the property, the perfect location in the center of old city of Matera. We had the chance to have a room upgrade and we really liked the room. The staff was excellent and we didn't have anything to complain about.

It's a very nice hotel, a former house by a famous architect from Matera. We spent the night in two very nice comfortable rooms. The beds are super comfortable. Parking is free. Thank you to the nice, professional, and very helpful receptionist who gave us a map of this splendid town and highlighted the best places to visit and restaurants to eat.

Breakfast was great, unique, and filling. All the complimentary experiences were designed with a lot of thought and detail.

A small and charming hotel in an unbeatable central location. The staff were exceptionally helpful—especially warm and welcoming throughout our stay. The rooms were well-appointed and quiet, ensuring a restful night. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options, and the lady serving was incredibly kind and attentive. The rooftop terrace was the perfect spot to enjoy an aperitivo at sunset. Highly recommended, truly top-notch.
