Hotel Due Leoni is in Sacile’s centre, about 1 hour from Venice and Udine by train or by car. It offers free access to its gym and rooms with flat-screen TV. The breakfast was much more than a continental breakfast. My wife and I especially enjoyed the fresh cappuccino and espresso each morning. They even accommodated my wife by making her cappuccino with soy milk.

We stayed for two nights at the end of October 2024. The villa and its gardens are stunning, the rooms spacious and newly restructured with lots of hot water and fast wifi, the breakfast abundant and the staff charming and helpful. Stevenà, a “frazione“ (sub-municipality) of Caneva has several interesting other villas to see and is situated at the foot of the Prealps. You only have to walk for 30‘ on one of the many well-marked footpaths to enjoy views over the plain stretching down to Venice.

Villa Luppis is set in 12 acres of gardens on the border between the regions of Veneto and Friuli. Formerly a Benedictine monastery, it is now an elegant hotel with stylish rooms. Wonderful luxury country hotel with lots of history and atmosphere. The hotel is family owned and we have been visiting for more than 20 years. The huge park is amazing. A big plus is the excellent restaurant with open air seating overlooking the park, candle light romantic setting, serving a variety of delicious meat and fish dishes, along with a great wine selection. The owner family and entire staff are charming and did everything to make our stay exceptional.

If this parking was full, there was a free, big, locked under-ground parking under the hotel with direct access to the hotel. Several restaurants, bistros and cafes are nearby in walking distance. Multiple chairs, desks and sofas in the lobby for an ad-hoc meeting.

Hotel Ca' Brugnera is set in a peaceful area on the border of the regions of Veneto and Friuli. It features free WiFi and 2 outdoor swimming pools. Parking is free. Staff very helpful and spoke good English. Was able to use the underground garage without paying. Curtains blocked almost all of the light.

We selected this hotel just because it was at the start of our cycling route. And we were very much positively surprised. Super friendly staff and amazing location with an amazing garden. There's a fine bar/restaurant that serves drinks and some dishes in the evening. Eating outside in the garden is very much recommended.
