We spent amazing 18 hours in the onsen. We had specious room with private onsen. We could also use the other onsens in the resort privately. Dinner was served in a private room. The serving, taste, presentation was of the level of Michelin restaurant. The staff pays attention of every detail. Definitely worth recommendation. We loved it!

Free Wi-Fi is available at the public area. Great location, very nice setting and loved the different Onsen. The food was amazing and the staff very thoughtful and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.

39 km from Mount Aso, Yamashinobu features a recently renovated 4-star accommodation in the Ota Onsen district of Minamioguni. The ryokan provides a spa experience, with its hot spring bath, public bath and open-air bath. The ryokan offers rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. We arrived by car and the staff was already waiting at the entrance to help carry our luggage into the ryokan. We were greeted by another staff and given a tour around the ryokan, before showing us our room. We booked the one with a private onsen bath, but there were also public indoor and outdoor baths. By 6pm we went to the dinner which is a kaiseki-ryōri, the meal was exquisite and delicious. The same goes for the breakfast next morning. We visited in mid-December and there was a light snow in the morning. It was an amazing experience to bath in the outdoor onsen in the snow!

It features some Japanese-style guest rooms with tatami (woven-straw) flooring. The private onsen was an absolute delight. The in-room dining experience was nothing short of extraordinary. The hotel serene autumn surroundings was relaxing.

Hitoyoshi Train Station is an 11-minute walk from the property. Nothing dislike. If have a pair of Clogs, that will be prefect.

This ryokan features free private parking, a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. The ryokan has family rooms. The hotel is right be the Suizenji park and the associated trails along the river. It's very peaceful and beautiful. Good for birdwatching. It's also right near the tram into the center of the city right up to the castle stop (Y180 flat rate) which is really convenient and cheap. The hotel itself is really well appointed and has 2 private and 1 public onsen which was really nice.

The location was fantastic, right in the middle of downtown Kumamoto, walking distance from Kumamoto castle and right next to the bus stop for the airport limousine. The breakfast was good, the staff were friendly and the rooms were beautiful.
