Beautiful accommodation; nice staff! Spacious!
Hakuba
You can play billiards and darts at this 4-star aparthotel, and the area is popular for skiing and cycling. If you would like to discover the area, hiking is possible in the surroundings and the aparthotel can arrange a car rental service. Practically everything! There are so many amazing things to say about this place, I'll just go in order: 1) They were VERY prompt and communicative over booking.com chat for my questions and requests for my sister who is on a wheelchair. 2) They have a free shuttle bus service for pickup from the train/bus station and a dropoff. AND for whenever you want to visit anywhere in Hakuba that's within a 10 min drive diameter. HOW COOL IS THAT?! An absolute highlight and USP of this place. 3) THE STAFF! Omg, the staff is some of the BEST I've ever seen in all of my stays around the world. In particular, their managers Thomas and Rena. I cannot emphasize how immensely helpful they both were throughout my stay there working around the clock to ensure we had the best time. Seriously, words cannot describe how great they were and I cannot thank them enough. 4) Thomas, who was coordinating with me over messages before my arrival; made whatever possible arrangements for my handicapped sister to ensure she had the smoothest time and I am incredibly thankful to him for that. Not only this, he personally took so much time and effort to make sure we got to do the activities we wanted and made all sorts of arrangements including arranging for ski rentals and inquiring with the resorts before we got there. Anyone from the Wadano team reading this, please make sure this guy is taken care of well. He truly is the crown jewel of our experience there. 5) The hotel itself is equipped with an awesome lounge area with a pool table, Foosball, board games and plenty of spaces to relax and unwind. Never had a dull time while I was there. 6) The rooms were wonderful and spacious. A perfect blend between modern hotel rooms on one side and a Japanese inn kinda feeling on the other. Overall, this was the best stay we had out of all of the places we visited in Japan.

It’s a historic, well-established hotel nestled in a quiet forest catering to celebrities and well-heeled travelers since 1894. Service and meal offerings were spectacular; the rooms modern and well-appointed, on par with any four-and five star hotels. Something that really caught my attention was the cushioned floors in the room; walking on them gave a level of comfort I’ve not felt at other hotels. And end your day at the iconic bar where John Lennon entertained those gathered on that piano when he stayed here.

We decided to book the larger Deluxe Room with a Bathtub and were super happy with the size and the features of the room. It felt like a proper small apartment with a working space, a living room area and a very decently sized modern bath and two sinks. It was located on one of the upper floors, meaning we had a very nice view of Nagano as well.
Felt like the price quality ratio was quite good, considering the comfortable beds, great onsen with outside bath with no roof, hence able to stay in the onsen and just look at the stars , quiet location in the mountains. We went by car and parked for free, but I understand they have some shuttle buses for one of the nakasendo posttowns.
Location was fantastic, in the middle of the nature. Onsen spectacular. High quality food, delicious Japanese cuisine. It was a dream to spend a couple of nights in this amazing hotel. To regenerate yourself.
modern facilities and grwst location
Faultless stay. The staff, location and quality of the hotel were perfect. The bed was the best we’ve had on our travels. Everything was quality. Would absolutely recommend and would stay here again.
The chalet/cabin was exceptionally comfortable. It was spacious, modern, warm, and had every fitting, utensil and item you could need. It was so thoughtfully designed with high quality finishing, it was luxury! The location was amazing, beautiful views of the ranges and surrounded by rice fields (snow covered for us) - it was so picturesque! Close to shops, restaurants and slopes. And the owners Yoko and Kazu were BEYOND kind and helpful. An absolute must stay! Our favourite of all three weeks (and 6 accommodations) across Japan.
The location is unbeatable. Also the hotel is very stylish and special. Very chic and modern. Yet a very welcoming feeling. The room are very spacious and clean. Check in was smooth and everyone speak good English. Provide helpful information and suggestions.
