Location: The hotel was easy access to kurashiki station, outlet mall, coin laundry, and close to the kurashiki bikan historical quarter. Room: The room was spacious and clean. Living area separate from the beds was a plus. Communication: They kept us fully informed of any updates even though we did not speak Japanese they used their phones and were accommodating. Id you're looking for additional amenities other than lodging you won't find it here. However if you're looking for lodging for sleeping this was perfect.

Located in the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter, Ryori Ryokan Tsurugata offers Japanese-style accommodations in a historical building from the Edo period. The facility was very clean and the staff was exceptionally helpful and polite. The included dinner was very traditional and delicious. The ryokan is located perfectly within the historical quarter, so I very much recommend this place! We even got served tea after arrival and got our futons made for us during dinner time.

From arrival to departure, everything and everyone was exceptional. We felt so cared for and so well supported. They took our request for vegan food to heart and provided some of the most delicious food we've had in Japan. Our server, who was originally from Nepal, was excellent and very attentive.

Located in downtown Okayama, ANA Crowne Plaza Okayama offers comfortable and bright rooms with free WiFi, only 2-minute walk from JR Okayama Station West Exit. Everything was great especially they had top notch service even if it was for a short stay!

Featuring a public bath looking out on a Japanese garden, a daily 40-item breakfast buffet and massages, Mitsui Garden Hotel is a 2-minute walk from JR Okayama Train Station. There is public bath at 10F, very clean. The breakfast is highly recommanded.

Directly connected to JR Okayama Station, Granvia Okayama is a 15-minute train ride from Kurashiki. Great hotel with super spacious room. Connected directly to the Okayama station with Shinkansen, local trains, buses and taxis to get around. Delicious breakfast.

Staying in a beautiful piece of Japanese modernism was a delight, especially one that's been lovingly cared for. Breakfast was good, and I especially liked I could open our bedroom window. It's also very handy for Bikan neighbourhood.
