Hot-spring baths and massages can be enjoyed at Nakanoshima, located a 5-minute ferry ride from Kanko Sanbashi pier. Traditional Kaiseki dinners and rooms with views of Nachi Bay are featured. We had a group of 5 people and stayed in the Deluxe family room. Everything was clean and prepared for our arrival and the staff showed us around all of the facilities and explained everything to us in English as we did not speak much Japanese, Not all of the staff spoke English, however anytime we had a query that required it they would always help us to speak with someone who did which was extremely helpful. The room itself was extremely spacious and came with 2 large beds and 3 tatami beds that were setup for us when we went for dinner. The room had all of the amenities that you could need and also gave each person a yukata and sandals that could be worn around the entire site. The balcony overlooks the bay and other areas on the island and is very beautiful, particularly at sunrise and sunset. The food for both dinner and breakfast was exceptional. The staff were extremely attentive and explained each of the courses to us in English and were always on hand for even the smallest request. There is a fantastic walk on the top of the island that is accessible via the main lift and is a brilliant spot for photographs or just to relax in the quiet although the staff explained that it is closed when it is dark so make sure not to miss out on it if you are interested. The site has both indoor and outdoor Onsen's which are rotated between Men and Women each day. These were extremely well kept and have all of the necessities for showering beforehand etc. These were absolutely the highlight of the accommodation and I would thoroughly recommend that everyone uses them at least once during their stay. The boats to and from the mainland can be arranged with staff up to every 15 minutes and they can also arrange a free taxi shuttle service from the dock to the train station nearby I would also just like to mention about how exceptional all of the staff were. We felt welcome from the moment we set foot on the boat to the moment we stepped back off it.

Staying at the temple was an exceptional experience, highly recommended. Meditation and morning rituals are special. I will definitely be back in the future, just for a longer stay.

Front Office staff needed a boost to their communication capabilities, but we appreciate the effort. There was a Sri Lankan lady who was our “angel…”thank you. Breakfast and dinner buffets were awesome…arigatou gozaimasu! Urashima’s onsens are out-of-this-world! The best, so far, in Japan! Bravo!

Their onsen opens up until late night and they also offer freeramen meal and popsicles at night. Not to mention, their room is spacious and well-maintained. Convenient location near the station too is another plus. Am still surprised why is this not a four star hotel.

KAMENOI HOTEL Nachi Katsuura Kumano Kodo cung cấp chỗ nghỉ ở Nachikatsuura gần Trung tâm Thể thao và Văn hóa Nachikatsuura và Fudarakusanji Temple. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, speaking in English for us tourists. The rooms were clean and beautiful. This was by far our favorite place we stayed at during our visit to Japan!

So many options to choose from. Will certainly consider coming back again. The onsens were fantastic. There is an indoor one and two outdoor onsens (one with shelter and milky water; while the other open-air with great view of the bay)
