They solved all our little issues (e.g. lack of water pressure) and arranged tours to Yala (safari), to a tea factory and also a shuttle to Negombo at the end of our stay. He even provided is own phone number so we can text or call him when we needed something. The issues some other reviewers wrote with toilet paper (no idea what kind of special problems they had...) or towels are not existent. Just talk to the staff, they will solve everything! Highly recommended also because it is very quite up there but you are either used to walking or use Tuk Tuks to go down to the city since it is quite a steep climb.

The athmosphere is calm and peaceful. Empoyees in restaurant, reception etc. very helpful and happy- good smalltalking and caretaking of the customers. Warm recommendations to EKHO Ella- hotel! A very cute hotel in the middle of the city, but not on the main street so it is quiet and cozy. The staff are amazing, the room are well designed and have everything you need, and a lot of a storage space. The breakfast is very good, a la carte, and the staff going above and beyond. You have 2 options - Sri Lankan or western, and of course tea/coffee and fruits. Very good hotel, much better then most in Ella
