Featuring sea views, Anchorstone provides accommodation with a garden and a balcony, around 2.6 km from Dead Man Beach. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. The guest house features facilities for disabled guests. Owners were super lovely and helped return an item I left on the island asap! They picked us up from the ferry and had a courtesy car we could hire during our stay which was invaluable. Cabins are fairly close to each other but private enough we could enjoy our stay. Had washer and dryer available if needed.

Kaka Retreat Motel on beautiful Stewart Island was wonderful to stay in, lovely, clean, roomy, comfortable, warm, central accommodation that was very welcoming and helpful. Featuring a terrace, Kowhai Lane Lodge is situated in Half-moon Bay, not far from Ringaringa Beach.

Some of the units have a satellite flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge, and a private bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer. Great hosts with impressive knowledge of Stewart Island.

All modern apartments include a seating area with satellite TV and a kitchen with fridge, microwave, tea/coffee making facilities. Rooms open out on a private balcony, with views of the bay or surrounding bush. The spacious rooms also offer free WiFi, electric blankets and individually controlled central heating. Location was great (walk to anywhere) but the view from our room was spectacular. Managers were lovely, so friendly and helpful. Looking forward to returning for a longer stay
