Tropical Suites Hotel is an oceanfront boutique property located in the heart of Bocas del Toro, Panama. Rested on the shoreline, the hotel is a short walk to over the water restaurants, shops and attractions. Fabulous location. We had a private rooftop patio above our over water room and overlooking the pool. Very close to all restaurants in town. Staff were very accommodating and helped us with water taxis and taxis to the popular beaches. Delicious breakfast with multiple choices.

Meghan and Ryan are the absolute best hosts I've had in a while. They are very friendly and always open to giving advice or help. This place is a private and calm gem hidden in plain sight, just a couple of minutes from Isla Colón.

Offering views of the sea, La Loma Jungle Lodge and Chocolate Farm is located in Isla Bastimentos, 10 km from Bocas Town. This property is dedicated to the sustainability and care of the environment and local communities. Staying at La Loma Lodge was nothing short of magical. The lodge is beautifully tucked away in the rainforest, surrounded by vibrant wildlife and the serene sounds of nature. The accommodation was stunning — open-air, thoughtfully designed, and deeply connected to the environment. Every detail feels intentional, from the comfortable beds to breathtaking views of the forest, to having privacy from other rooms, to having two hammocks, to toilet paper holders ;). It’s the perfect balance of charm and comfort. The food and drinks deserve their own spotlight. Most ingredients are grown right on the property (even the pepper on the table and hot sauce are so), and every meal (and also the non-alcoholic drinks) is fresh and absolutely delicious. Dining at La Loma is more than a meal — it’s an experience and you’ve even got the best view of the bay ever from the restaurant. But what truly makes La Loma exceptional is the people. The hosts and staff are welcoming, passionate, and incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife and chocolate farm. Their care for sustainability and respect for the environment shines through in everything they do. From hiking through the cacao farm and learning about chocolate-making to trying different local fruits and spotting sloths right from the restaurant, every moment was unforgettable. If you’re looking for a place that’s more than just a stay — a place that connects you with nature and leaves you feeling inspired — La Loma Lodge is it. Without a doubt, one of the most remarkable travel experiences we’ve ever had. Make sure you stay a bit longer than we did, one night was definitely not enough.

Elegantly decorated in nautical style, each room at the Bocas del Toro includes a flat-screen cable TV, air conditioning, hair dryer, coffee machine with organic coffee, handmade coconut bath amenities and complimentary beach towels. Some of them have a balcony or terrace. The hotel staff was friendly and very accommodating. The room was comfortable. We had a balcony so view was very nice. Bernie was very welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed our breakfast every morning which was included with the room. We did also ate at the restaurant and our meals were all delicious.

Hotel Palma Royale is located on the main street of Bocas town, on Colon Island. The property offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and garden or sea views.

The hotel's elegant rooms are decorated with warm colours and dark wood furniture. Each one offers an LCD TV with satellite channels, mini fridge and a luxury coffee machine. I stay here a couple of times a month. The front desk staff are always fantastic and accommodating. The breakfast is always delicious. I usually stay in the same room and enjoy the familiarity of it. During my last stay I was upgraded to their luxury suite. It was perfect. The kitchen is equipped with some of the basics, and has a full size fridge. The AC and hot water worked perfectly. The bathroom is spacious and the bed is comfortable. Any issues I've ever had in the past were handled immediately and usually resolved quickly. Definitely bring up anything to the front desk staff during your stay and they will help you right away. There were no issues during this visit. They are also happy to store your luggage prior to the room being available.
