Room was nice and bed comfort.

Very comfortable lobby space, good-view sauna and best location(access from airport, bus and shopping).

Situated in Jukkasjärvi in northern Sweden, IceHotel features rooms entirely made out of sculptured ice from the neighbouring Torne River. Warm rooms are also offered. A bookable sauna experience featuring a sauna, wood-burning hot tub and ice bath is available for a fee. We’re huge fans of this hotel. Over the past year, we’ve stayed three times and have experienced every type of room they offer. For adventure lovers, it’s simply fantastic. This time, we came especially for river rafting and gravel biking to enjoy Kiruna’s summer. Compared to the winter season, the atmosphere was much quieter, with a completely different vibe. It almost feels like you have the entire hotel to yourself—which is incredible. When it comes to the rooms, if you’re mainly there for the tours, any option will do. But if you’ve never stayed in an ice room, it’s an absolute must. Since we had already tried both the Deluxe and Art Suites before, this time we opted for a warm room(kamoos hotel room) , which worked perfectly. Before we stayed in a kamoos deluxe warm room and comparing to that, only significant difference was the comfiness of the bed. Pillows and mattress could be better. Also there was no mini fridge. Again, since we were out all day long for tours, -except the mattress- those didnt matter to us. Breakfast, as always, was fantastic. They’ve even added vegan bread—kudos to the chef, it was excellent. The dinner menu was the same as in winter: pricey, but absolutely delicious. Staff is amazing as always, we seen some familiar faces from our previous stays. Mostly they are working seasonal i guess but all of them are sharing the same passion. Overall, it’s a wonderful place both in winter and summer, but in my opinion, the real highlight is the tours. They are the perfect way to discover the North, immerse yourself in the culture, and experience the wilderness. So far, every guide we’ve had has been outstanding. I believe if we join few more tours, they will convince us to move to Kiruna :)

Surrounded by mountain nature, the family-owned Camp Ripan .is a 10-minute car ride from Kiruna city centre. It offers free WiFi, in-room flat-screen TVs and traditional, seasonal Swedish and Sami food. Parking is free on site. On the edge of the city, there is less light pollution, but it is a pity that the Aurora can not be seen in the heavy rain.

Situated in Björkliden, Hotell Fjället offers 4-star accommodation with a shared lounge, a restaurant and a bar. Among the various facilities are ski-to-door access and a ski pass sales point. The hotel has a sauna, a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi throughout the property. We stayed at Hotel Fjället for 3 nights just before Christmas 2024 and absolutely adored this place. The location is stunning and unique yet easily accessible by night train from Stockholm. Upon arrival, an employee met us at the station to fetch our luggage. We walked up to the hotel (about 10 minutes), absorbing the atmosphere of the place. Sitting on top of a hill, Hotel Fjället overlooks lake Torneträsk and the iconic mountain Lapporten behind which we saw the sun rising around 9am. Our room enjoyed a mountain view as well. The bed was comfortable and besides the basics (wifi, TV) I liked having tea/coffee facilities in our room. There are hiking trails and ski slopes around the hotel. You can rent Wintersport equipment at a small shop next to the hotel.Just before Christmas, it was rather calm. Apparently, the ski season starts later. You'll find a pretty well-equipped gym and two Saunas. After our hikes at -18°C we really enjoyed the Sauna:) The hotel's common areas were very cozy with fireplaces, Christmas decoration and incredible views. There's a bar, a shop for the most important groceries and a good restaurant. All the staff was really nice, friendly and much more communicative than I am used to from Southern Sweden.

Grand Hotel Lapland is situated in the centre of Gällivare, directly opposite Gällivare Train Station. This area is known for both the midnight sun and the unique northern lights. Guests have free access to the gym, sauna and other wellness facilities. The hotel features free WiFi and on-site parking. It is right beside the bus station. Not far from restaurants neither but the in-house cafe by the reception is amazing. Breakfast is good too. Room itself is standard. The front desk is very kind and helpful.
