An amazing building staffed by amazing people. The food was top notch, matching the service. The staff was very knowledgeable regarding the history of the building and I even got a personal tour by the fantastic Michael, due to me having the luck of arriving on a slow evening. The chef had a night of due to this, but Michael made me a fabulous Toast Skagen and the best Västerbotten pie that I have lever tasted. Come to think of it, the Toast Skagen was propbably the best I ever had as well. It was served with some fantastic ölkorv (small smoked sausages). The building itself is truly amazing, I think you could walk here for days and still find new amazing details of loving craftsmanship. It is truly astonishing and a thing of beauty to behold. Henceforth, whenever I visit either Huskvarna or Jönköping, I will choosr Hotell Slottsvillan whenever possible. The 10 minute drive to central Jönköping is well worth it due to the astonishing experience of feeling as the King of the Castle for a few days. 12 out 10 stars!

This Best Western hotel is located in Askersund, 500 metres from the northern bay of Lake Vättern. It offers free sauna access, a harbour-view restaurant and rooms with flat-screen TVs. Very clean easy to get to and the staff are really friendly

Set in natural surroundings overlooking Lake Vättern and Visingsö Island, this hotel is 8 minutes’ drive from Gränna Harbour. Everything was great, thank you for a superb stay

This hotel is situated by Lake Munksjön in the heart of Jönköping, less than 10 minutes’ walk from Jönköping Central Station. It offers free WiFi and free sauna and gym access. Very clean!! The staff were on point, the delivered service was genuine and the food was superb! Absolutely recommend BW plus!

Housed in a former monastery from the Middle Ages, this historic hotel is located on Lake Vättern in quaint Vadstena. Guests can relax with in the peaceful settings or at the on-site spa. Breakfast was very good, but over two days was served in two different locations and challenging to find.

Just off the E4 motorway in Huskvarna, this design hotel offers free Wi-Fi and individually decorated rooms with flat-screen TVs. Location was practical because the hotel is located very close to my mother´s place, who we were visiting, but except for that Husqvarna is a very quiet place with no attractions except for it´s proximity to Jonkoping, Granna, etc..
