Though we prefer the more spacious, deluxe rooms, even the standard, value oriented room was fine for us. The A/C definitely helps in the summer time, especially in the attic. We loved the facility overall. The whole site is well kept. The swimming pool and spa is a very nice bonus for the price. The sauna only operates in the afternoon, though. Breakfast was included and we were well fed. :) We even used the restaurant a couple of times and no matter what we picked from the a la cart menu, everything was excellent. Unless you have a very, very good reason to stay directly in Banska Stiavnica, stay here instead. You'll thank me afterwards. :)

The owner recommended a great place for dinner and we loved our time in Banská Stiavnica !

Hotel Grand Vígľaš ligger i et fuldt restaureret slot fra det 13. århundrede, 15 minutters kørsel fra Zvolen. Breakfast was excellent. The restoration work is unbelievable. The entire facility was very well done and a pleasure to stay at. We had a delicious dinner and a beautiful, quiet, comfortable room.
