We stayed at Mahana House for two nights and absolutely loved it. The cottage was beautiful and incredibly comfortable — the bed even had adjustable firmness settings! The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, and there was a laundry room where we could wash and dry our clothes for free. The cat was adorable, and for the first time, my husband changed his opinion about cats — he actually liked this one! Randy takes great care of the orchard, and the longans were delicious. We truly appreciated the peaceful surroundings — it was perfect for mindfulness and relaxation. We shared photos on Instagram, and so many of our friends are now planning to visit too! It’s about a 15-minute drive from Hilo town, so having a car is necessary — but totally worth it. This place is truly a dream stay. Highly recommended!

Extras include an outdoor seating area, bed linen and a fan. View of Pacific Ocean from upper deck is gorgeous.　Feeling like waking up at a farm with cows and pigs roaming in the morning. Breakfast at the upper deck including fresh fruits and juice was just nice to kick start the day.

The guest house has a pool with a view with a fence, as well as a hot tub and private check-in and check-out. Location great for seeing Hilo sights. The hosts were very responsive and helpful.

There is free private parking and the property provides paid airport shuttle service. Probably the most tranquil spot on the island. If you are in search of some real "R and R" look nowhere else. Kind and welcoming, Irene, the owner, is the perfect host. The property is surrounded by a luscious garden. Pahoa is just a short drive away, has some good eating options, and an enormous Longs pharmacy/retail store.

The resort offers tennis lessons, pilates classes and swimming lessons. My husband and I loved the spacious two-bedroom first-floor apartment with a patio that opened up to a lawn with an unobstructed view of the ocean. It was absolutely quiet and peaceful. The resort has a nice grocery store, restaurants, great snorkeling, all sorts of birds and tropical fish, great sunset views, a nice pool/jacuzzi club house. A special word of thanks is due to the concierge (Marvellee), who checked in with us daily for anything we needed and was very accommodating. Mauna Lani really exceeded our expectations.

Spacious townhomes at the Islands are furnished with many of today's modern conveniences, including separate living and dining areas, private lanais and a 2-car garage. Accommodations also offer washers and dryers as well as central air conditioning. It was in a safe and beautiful area on the golf course. Private and plenty of room in the house. Nice to have a washer and dryer on site. Washed our towels between laundry service visit. Enjoyed having A/C and the ceiling fans. Option to open sliders to have fresh air and hear the wildlife was nice. Close to restaurants and stores. Not too far to drive to the beach. Pool was never too crowded. People around seemed friendly.

Guests at the SCP Hilo Hotel can enjoy on-site dining at the Coconut Grill. Very close to the airport. Really friendly staff. I did not realize the sustainability efforts of the SCP brand when we booked, but this added to the good feeling of our stay. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. There was free gated parking. We spent a lot of time at the pool which had a really nice seating area and a beautiful buddha statue adding to a serene feel. I also strongly recommend the Lomilomi massage at Malama Honua Massage Therapy. We ate several meals at the restaurant next door, Coconut Grill, which had amazing food (my first time trying Lau Lau) and really beautiful local art depicting Hawaiian legends.

Breakfast is provided daily with locally sourced ingredients. The location and community members are so lovely! If you are ok with more of a glamping experience you will have a great time here! Don't miss out on the breakfast at the Inn overlooking the waterfall!
