Located in the historic district of Montevideo, Alma Histórica Boutique Hotel offers sophisticated rooms with an elegant style and free WiFi access. Guests can enjoy a full daily breakfast. The staff was perhaps the friendliest I’ve ever encountered in a hotel (where I have spent much of my time due to work). The hotel has true charm, the breakfast was top (not something I usually am paying too much attention to but it stood out how artfully they served my scrambled eggs!). The furnishings is not modern or new but it is part of the style and fits 100%. Bathroom facilities and library also top. I loved my one night here.

The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly! They let us check in earlier and treated us to coffee :) The room was spacious and clean. Very good location. Highly recommend!

This hotel is in an excellent location if one arrived and departed by bus being just across the road from the bus station. The old town can be reached by bus, but I walked (prob. around 40 min). I hesitated initially regarding staying in this hotel or somewhere more centrally located. But in the hindsight, I am happy that I chose to stay in this hotel. The room was reasonably quiet and I had a good sleep (not sure if staying at a higher floor helped). I also liked that I could use the Australian plug with the power points directly, without an adapter.

Great location, near the central squares and the Old Town. Very pleasant hotel with nice staff, with an excellent grasp of English surpassing our limited Spanish. The city itself is a joy and the hotel added to the experience. It was very clean and welcoming.

Ideally located in the heart of Montevideo, just 200 meters from Plaza Independencia and a short walk from the iconic Solís Theatre. Nice small modern hotel. Great location for exploring the old historical down town center of the city
