I loved my stay at Sunset Bungalow—unfortunately far too short. I arrived the day before Christmas, and they kindly upgraded me to an amazing bungalow right in front of the sea. The food is truly delicious and varied, with very fair prices for the island, and they offer many vegan options. The lovely elderly woman who started this place 30 years ago with passion even repaired a large tear in my sarong for free, carefully machine-stitching it herself. Such a rare and touching gesture. I also met a German man who has been coming here for 24 years—very telling of the place. The place is peaceful and quiet, with a beautiful beach right in front. At the same time, there are other restaurants and small shops within walking distance (about 15–20 minutes), which makes the location very convenient. I really appreciated their commitment to reducing plastic on the island, offering a paid water refill service instead of plastic bottles. The relaxed common area with books, and all the small details—drawings, paintings, and handmade touches—give this place a beautiful, warm energy.

Thai/German owned. Stayed here more than 1 week in one of the big tents and loved everything. Great owner, great stay, great staff, great beach! Nicki is a wonderful, warmhearted, patient and well organised host. His staff is also sweet, attentive and make great food. Location right at beach is amazing for this price and still so quiet at night. I'm also glad about the no smoking policy - there is a lot of smoking elsewhere (incl. cannabis). Good WiFi in restaurant area. Unfortunately right now no WIFI in the tents 3 and 4. Bring enough cash to the Island, as the 2 ATM (at Pier only) are very unreliable. Or use WISE for paying at Friends at the end. Next supermarket nearby (10-15min walking), also many other restaurants close by. Best option to get around is by scooter. Enjoy Koh Phayam and be respectful to locals by wearing clothes when away from beach.

Very friendly and helpfull staff & boss. Free surfs. Full service to buy tickets to boat, van, bus. Excelent service. Excelent location.

We booked Sabai Sabai last minute. We had a beach front bungalow and loved it! The food was delicious and the staff were very helpful. The beach is private and beautiful. Highly recommend Sabai Sabai!
