As our second visit must speak for itself, we just love the set up. Only 15-20 mins from the Kruger park entrance. The local town offer all we need from fuel to food and take-a-ways too. The hosts and staff are so friendly offering to help if we need something extra, They also have pool and lovely reception area that doubles up as communal area come breakfast if you ask. We will be back.

Everything was beyond expectation, I highly recommend a stay here if you get the opportunity. Every detail and bit of care put into your stay is so special both Butch and the owner are just so friendly and accommodating we couldn't have asked for a better stay and this is now our new no.1 spot to stay moving forward. The tents are amazing and you are short of nothing on your stay they have truly thought of it all. Thank you Butch for being so accommodating during our stay and it was absolutely lovely meeting the owner the next morning at the park gate.

Cathleen, Euchan, Godfrey, Geshom, Aaron, Sandiso, Elaine, Louie, Tanya, and Quintin make you feel like part of the family from the very first day. Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail create an atmosphere of both comfort and refined elegance. The location and facilities are outstanding – the safari tents are the very definition of luxury, blending seamlessly into the wilderness while offering every modern comfort. At night, falling asleep to the sounds of lions, elephants and hippos just outside the camp is an experience I’ll never forget. Every meal was a highlight in itself – the food is on par with a Michelin-star restaurant, beautifully prepared and presented. And the guiding? Exceptional. The knowledge and passion of the guides and trackers elevate each game drive into something truly special. A must-do is the walking tour with the legendary Graham Cooke. Spending time with him is nothing short of inspirational; his depth of knowledge and life stories are fascinating – you could easily spend hours just listening. Amava River Lodge manages to combine world-class safari experiences with the heart of a family-run lodge. It’s a rare and beautiful combination, and we left feeling deeply grateful and already planning our return. My husband and I spent 3 amazing days there. The place and our room were so quiet and peaceful, all the meals were perfect and also loved our routine there. Our game drive guide Nial was amazing, friendly and gave us full of information about the animals we found, gave us space to take as many photos as we wanted. We also loved Audrey, she was so kind and attentive, always making sure we were comfortable. The whole staff truly made a huge different in our stay at Muweti. Thank you all!

A very great stay. The area is quite bushy and can be more difficult than other open areas to spot animals very quick but the rewards once in front of them are so satisfying. And photography wise it gives a lot of texture, with a touch of dramaturgy. Did I see the big 5? Yes within the 2 first games drives : a group of rhinos, a pride of 12 lions , a leopard at a water point , tons of elephants … Sabre the guide was just pushing the games drives into another level, sharing from a so professional and passionated engagement : explanations on animals behaviours, tracks, flora and conservation. The camp: rustic, not fenced , very comfortable with a view on a water point from the tents. (From my terrasse I saw: elephants, kudus, hyenas, lion…. Just amazing). To finish my review a major thanks to Jude and the team at the camp for their generosity in welcoming and treating guests. I really enjoyed my time at Ndzuti camp, not the last time.
