The overall experience for our first ever glamp was perfect. The local wildlife, the surroundings, the ocean view and the comfortable bed. The option to purchase wine and whiskey was perfect given the remoteness.

Absolutely gorgeous and you could hear the sound of the waves at night. That is, obviously if you weren't foolish enough to put on your air-conditioning! I saw the penguins come out of the sea and waddle up the hill. Make sure you have the red torch and do not do not do not shine the white torch on them as it disorientates them. I stayed until 11 at night watching them as I was so mesmerized. What a fabulous amazing place this is. Book at least two nights .

The campground is set a short walk from the township, it can't get crowded, with a set number of cabins and tents. The tent (we were a couple) was spacious and comfortable, with your own fridge in the camp kitchen. The camp kitchen was a delight - sinks, washing up eqpt, fireplace, large tables, tea & coffee, books - would be great in the winter. The staff/owners were friendly and helpful.

The Bush Retreat turned out to be our favorite accommodation during our whole 10 day trip in Tasmania. The grounds and facilities were absolutely gorgeous. The staff was lovely. She answered all our questions about the stay and also offered plenty of recommendations for our vacation itinerary. The honesty bar had reasonable priced food and drinks. We also took full advantage of the kitchen.
