Set in a renovated property originally built in 1862, Château de Montabert is an elegantly-decorated guest house surrounded by a 14-hectare park. Guest can relax by the pool, admire the hen house or the pigeon house, rent a bike and walk by the pound. Central Troyes is just a 20-minutes drive away. we were horribly delayed due to traffic. but we called ahead and updated our hosts and they were very kind and understanding. The chateau is easily found just off the A26 nr Troyes so perfect for a stopover and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. The owners had only recently changed but everything was done well and we set off again well rested.
