This has to be one of the best, if not the best, hostel that I stayed in during my travels. I do not know where to begin in terms of describing just how amazing my overall experience was. The hostel is only a month or so old so everything is, as one would expect, brand new. Setback from the road you're away from the noise and traffic and yet still only a 5minute walk to the bustling cliff area. The dorm rooms are a good size with comfy beds, privacy curtains and individual lockers. The whole place is spotlessly clean. There's a lovely chill out area upstairs with a well appointed kitchen where you can either cook for yourself or buy a delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner for around RPS150. The garden is a delight to sit in and isn't really overlooked either. What makes this place complete are the brilliant team; huge thanks to Vikram and Pintu who made me feel so welcome and provided so much fun and laughter. Book it now before it's too late!

The place is very friendly, very clean, there is such attention to details, it makes you feel at home. It's a perfect backpacker's place where excellent English is spoken. And if you need a yogamat, there are some on the rooftop, where you can also practice.

I also liked the playing area for the kids if you are travelling with the family.

Whether it was the front desk personnel, the restaurant team, or housekeeping, everyone was genuinely friendly and eager to assist. They not only addressed our requests promptly but also offered insightful recommendations for exploring Wayanad, enhancing our overall experience. Boasting a private entrance, this air-conditioned mobile home includes 1 living room, 1 separate bedroom and 1 bathroom with a shower. Beautiful front space to take in the serene surroundings. The crew were so attentive and friendly. The food was amazing! As well as the whole afternoon of cruising on the first day, we had a short morning cruise before our checkout which was great! Although all food is included, we had the option to stop and buy huge fresh tiger prawns which were caught in the lake, and the chef cooked those for us alongside our other curries. The best thing we’ve done in India. 10/10!

Dolphin Lodge offered great value for a short stay — the room was tidy, air-conditioned, and had everything needed for a comfortable night. The staff was courteous and check-in was smooth and efficient. Its location near the main bus stand made travel very convenient.
