This non-smoking tent is fitted with windows that open up to panoramic views of the sea. The tent is equipped with solar-powered lighting, a queen-size bed and furniture. The accommodation blends into the beautiful natural jungle and beach landscape and feels perfect for the setting. Be advised that it is a bit rustic but there's a shower and a flushing toilet and our bed was really comfortable. There are no plug points in the room but you can charge your devices in the dining area. A mosquito net is provided which was great as it meant we could leave the windows open for a cooling sea breeze at night. We were a stone's throw from the water but also surrounded by trees, it was magical. The staff were helpful and friendly but unobtrusive. The food is traditional Khmer cuisine and everything we had was delicious and made with a lot of care. There are also a few other resorts in the bay that serve different food styles. Sunset Beach is more remote than some of the other bays on the island and does not have a ferry port or really much other boat traffic making it perfect for swimming, paddling and snorkeling. This does mean that you have to hike in to the accommodation but it's completely manageable, just be sure to pack in a backpack rather than a suitcase or kit bag. All the pertinent information and directions are sent out in an email as soon as you book. This stands out as one of our best beach holidays, highly recommended.

The tents are basic but comfortable, with mosquito nets and mats provided. The French couple owning the place were warm, welcoming, and always happy to share stories or help organise island activities. Whether it’s snorkelling in front of the beach or hiking through the forest or simply drinking a cold beer on the deck of the restaurant or swinging in a hammock with a book, this place invites you to slow down and enjoy the moment. Highly recommended for adventurous souls, nature lovers, and anyone seeking an off-grid experience with heart.
