We had a direct view of the waterfall, which we later visited and even stood on top of—an unforgettable moment. While the stay may feel a bit more expensive, it’s worth every penny if you’re looking for a once-in-a-lifetime, comfortable experience in nature. One of the highlights was hiking to Ella Rock early in the morning. The hotel has a backroute to the trail, and their guide took us along with so much care—helping us over rocks and steps while letting us go at our own pace. It made the hike feel safe, enjoyable, and truly special. The people here are genuinely warm and hospitable. Getting to Ella town was easy, as the hotel arranged tuk-tuks at very reasonable prices whenever we needed. They also organized a seamless pickup from the train station, making our journey stress-free. If you’re looking for a perfect blend of adventure, comfort, and incredible hospitality, this place is a must-visit!

Waking up to the sunrise was unforgettable and a highlight of our whole time in Sri Lanka. The breakfast was delicious and generous, and we ate dinner with the volunteers and other guests too. So many lovely conversations and connections. Wish we could have stayed here longer!!
