Kishan is kind enough to pack breakfast for our early departure and drop us till station. Would highly recommend this place to enjoy ella views.

There’s nothing like this place! It really is like camping in the sky. Comfortable tent very cosy, plenty of privacy, great bathroom facilities, incredible food, and warm vibes! The host did everything to make sure I was comfortable. I loved the location, but it does require some scenic walking along the rail track to get there - the tuk tuk can’t take you all the way. I would recommend walking from the Ella train station along the tracks so you don’t need a tuk tuk at all - it’s only 15 min walk - and it’s safe, many locals walk along it, you will hear any incoming train for a long time before you see it. The lovely host helped me carry my bags along the track. Easy walking distance from Ella town too. A really unique must-do experience. And it’s only a 10 min walk to the 9 arch bridge!

Guests will find a refrigerator and a tea and coffee maker in the kitchenette. The tent also has a barbecue. Amazing location in the middle of nature. You fall asleep with the sound of a waterfall. Sunrise hike to Ella Rock with guide from the hotel is very recommendable. Also great breakfast and very helpful staff. Would definitely come again!

Where to start... this place is magical! We ended up at Vitajs camp by chance and it turned out to be our favorite days in Sri Lanka!!! If you like nature, remote camping, hiking and a bit of adventure it is more then perfect. The camp is located on a tea farm, only accessible via foot, so it's so calm and peaceful, really a piece of heaven. You can come from haputale via tuktuk, leave big bags at the house on top of the hill and just bring what you need for the night down to the camp. CAVE: You should be comfortable with walking, no electricity and cold water, if not, it's probably not for you. If yes, you will have the greatest time, Viraj and his family are the nicest and most welcoming people we've met in Sri Lanka so far. He speaks perfect English and is super open minded and a fun guy, so you can hang out with him at the nightly campfire, chat and learn lots about Sri Lanka culture. And the food his mum cooks... just amazing, also best I've had so far, no lie. 11/10.

The unit offers 3 beds. Tunnel Gap Resort Ella offers accommodation located just 500 meters from the Ella Railway Station. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Each room has a private bathroom. I had a nice time staying at the accommodation. Cozy atmosphere, really nice breakfast, the place is really clean and have everything you need. The host is so nice and make you feel at home! The location is also great! I Totally recommend it.
