Our room tent/cabin was ready on arrival. It is not a hotel so you should know going in that this is a camping adventure. Beds were comfy and cam with very good mosquito nets. The bathroom was clean and the water pressure was fine. There is no A/C but you do get a floor fan and the room also has plenty of outlets for charging. You get your own private deck in front of your tent with chairs and a beautiful view of the river. I would suggest allowing them to prepare all of your meals. They were all delicious and came at a fair price considering there is nowhere else to eat within a mile or two. The camp prepares and takes car of everything for you, meals, free river tour, and free night walk after dinner. They also will book your safari for you. Once you arrive, you do nothing. It was absolutely amazing.

He arranged everything for us. The safari trip with Janaka, the amazing tour guide, was incredible, the dinner at the cottage was very good, very comfortable and cool. Amazing structure. Don't miss the opportunity to visit him and his wife.

Both free WiFi and parking on-site are available at the guest house free of charge. Your totally absorbed by the nature! You can totally relax with the sounds of nature all around you. The staff were fantastic and always ready to help answer any questions including “what bird is that” x 20. The staff were patient and knowledgeable and they made my experience amazing!!

The food, the hospitality, the room, the environment, you will not regret staying here! Hope to be back one day. If you’ve read about the leaches, don’t bother worrying, they’re tiny and a non-event.

The units will provide guests with a desk and a kettle. We stayed for one night at Kottawatta River Bank Resort. Rooms are unique as they are tent-shaped with a cozy terrace. The outdoor bathroom is quite an experience but in a good way. Nice pool area, perfect to relax. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant. For a reasonable price you can sit in an nice atmosphere and get tasty Sri Lankan food. Breakfast buffet in the morning was also good. Staff at the restaurant was very friendly. Supermarkets, liquor stores and local restaurants within a ten minutes walking-distance. In the early morning we did the 3,5hour safari arranged by the hotel which is plenty of time to spot some animals. Card payment in the hotel as well as at the parc possible.

Steps from Udawalawe National Park, Kottawatta Village offers a peaceful and scenic getaway from the city and night camping. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas. The on-site Rose Restaurant serves Western, Chinese and Sri Lankan food. It was a lovely place with a restaurant available, so we did not need to worry about breakfast, lunch, or dinner. In Udawallawe is not possible to go outside for a walk as roads are dark and cars drive fast, so it was nice that Kottawatta Village can provide common areas including a pool so you can enjoy your short stay. And they arranged the safari.

International and traditional Sri Lankan dishes are served by the chef on demand, at the main restaurant. Athgira River Camping offers a great outdoor dining experience as well as a barbecue dinner and cooking demonstrations. Real wild cocktails and a nice wine selection are available as well. Everything, it was the most peaceful ive ever been

Located 38 km from Avissawella Railway Station, Sudagala Jungle Glamping offers accommodation with a balcony, as well as pool with a view and an open-air bath. Everything is rteally nice, the rock pools are amazing and the junglke is all around you. The cabins are very new and comfortable. I thought the loud music was a bit irritating, but maybe that was just an exeption!
