The fireplace is a top feature of this tent. The tent features air conditioning and a patio. Very friendly host and they really made our stay a wonderful experience and gave us a lot of information about the environment. We had a wonderful breakfast with " room service" and we could enjoy it in nature.

Located about 5 km from the Mata-Mata border post into Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, Torgos Safari Lodge is situated at the dry Auob River and offers game viewing opportunities.The lodge has an... Great lodge and the perfect for our purpose of entering Mata Mata early the next morning . We enjoyed the views over the dry river beds, lots of birds and many ground squirrels

The small, simple room was very clean (and so were the shared toilets/showers). The hotel has made an effort to make the place homey with a bit of decor inside the room and plants/decor throughout the property.. The wind and cold were fierce during our stay, so we were very grateful to have a good heater in our room (and they provide enough blankets). While the WIFI is only available in the reception/bar/restaurant area, it works well. Good to have a reasonably priced restaurant on site, as there are few eating options in Grunau (you can order your meals ahead to be ready at a certain time). We stayed for two nights while visiting Fish River Canyon as it is much more affordable than the places in/nearer the park (unless you are camping).
