This was the most darling cottage in the most picturesque setting. Our host, Angus, was very friendly and accommodating. We loved going to the grotto on the property to see the glow worms. We had a person in a wheelchair and getting to the cottage was not difficult despite there being a couple stairs. We enjoyed almost everything associated with the Luxury Beach Bus. Mary greeted us warmly as did Nui, her dog. The bus fixtures and fittings are top quality and the bed led to an excellent nights sleep. There were biscuits and bottled water and other little treats that enhanced our stay. We were warm and comfortable inside the bus during a coolish night. Very quiet as well. It is a shame we were unable to stay longer. Highly recommended to people looking for a different style of accommodation. If we visit Wanganui again, the Luxury Bus is our first choice for accommodation.

Secluded, private & very peaceful. -the tiny has everything you need, bathroom/kitchen/microwave/stovetop/dishes etc. -you can drive around and park next to the tiny (just don’t park under the tree - the birds will poop on your car :-) the driveway to the tiny is through fields but don’t worry, our Yaris made it with no issues. Drive slow. -the tiny faces the mountains/trees/fields - very nice view, the view from the bed out the window- gorgeous -it is peaceful and quiet with the sounds of nature. -friendly sheep next door! -dog friendly which was a huge advantage for us that we travel with our dog everywhere. -10-15 min drive to Waihi town & 15-20 min drive to Waihi beach. Close enough to have the best of both worlds. -USB chargers next to the bed -the host Edwin is lovely! Friendly, approachable & available for any questions/inquiries. -Edwin kindly provided milk & a few other things that I asked for, thank you -suggestions: Visit Bowentown, find Shelly bay (tiny beach) Maori pa site & lookout. Eat fish & chips at waihi beach seaside store Eat gelato from little lato next door at beach road deli Hike from waihi over to orokawa beach Eat at Ti Tree cafe waihi for breakfast
