Set in park-like grounds on the shores of Lake Te Anau, 5 minutes' walk from the town centre, Te Anau Lakefront Backpackers has both mountain and lake views from the majority of the rooms. The view especially sunset in front of the hostel is stunning.

I really liked the location that was close to Lake Te Anau, the silence and the possibility to rest your mind and soul. I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere with my husband and the fact that nature and people of Aotearoa never dissapoint your expectations. They exceed them. The wifi was working a little bit hard, but it was ok.
