Te Tiro really lived up to its name with an incredible view looking out over the valley with views all the way to Mt Ngauruhoe (aka Mt Doom) in the distance. The cottage was quaint and charming with everything we needed for our family of 4. The deck was also nice to sit out on play cards with our kids in the evening, while the private glow wore grotto made was a really cool bonus. Angus and Rachel were also really great hosts, so nice and welcoming and very helpful with recommendations for things to do.

We didn't use the spa but it is a beautiful space. I wish we had more time to enjoy all that Te Whaanga Retreat has to offer. We especially loved the story of their ancestors being on this land. It was a treat watching the surfers in the mornings.

Anne the host was so friendly and welcoming and cooked a lovely breakfast in the morning. Amazing stay and will definitely be returning, can't fault a thing
