Desert Moments Camp is a recently renovated campground in Al Wāşil, where guests can make the most of its garden and terrace. The property has garden views. Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service. Desert moments camp was a wonderful experience for us! The camp is on the top of the dune, in a very quiet location and there is really nothing around. You dont hear noise of cars and buggies passing by like in other camps. The tents are big, perfectly clean and comfortable. The best is there is only 6 tents so it is a very friendly experience cause you get the chance to meet other guests and share experiences. It is the only camp that allows you check in at 13.00 so you really get the chance to see and feel the desert even few hours before the sunset. Salah, the owner, is the king of the desert :) he takes really good care of his guests. We enjoyed a tasty surprise lunch on our arrival, delicious food for dinner and a very nice breakfast. Salah, thank you for the great desert camping experience including a funny evening chat where we got to hear more about the modern omani men :)

This place is far enough away from everything else, making it incredibly private—there's no one else around. You're truly in the desert. Also, taking an open-air shower with the moon is so cool 😄. The stuff is incredibly hospitable and they will be with you every single time whenever you need them. Mr Salim and his brother Yasir specifically are gentlemen who will always smile ☺️. The people who operate & execute this experience are actually bedouins. Truly wonderful people!!! Special mention to the amazing food that was served. Homely cooked meals met with amazing level of hospitality. I had the best Mishkak here at Moon Light Luxury Camp.

Adventurer Camp is offering accommodation in Al Wāşil. There is a restaurant serving Middle Eastern cuisine, and free private parking is available. We loved that we had are own driver. The facilities were what we were looking for - not spartan, but not so luxurious you didn’t think you were in the desert. Very comfortable and we liked the porch on our cabin and that you could have an opening to see stars. The bonfire was one of the highlights - eating a Bedouin desert and drinking tea. The staff is so kind and gracious.

Languages spoken at the 24-hour front desk include Arabic and English. The tents are very authentic, the beds are big and comfortable. The place has a beautiful setting in the desert. We were welcomed by dates, coffee, fruits. We ordered a dinner, which was really delicious and rich. Also, the breakfast was a traditional arab pancake, absolutely tasty. You need a 4 WD car to get to the camp, but the host can pick you up at a designated location.

The luxury tent specialises in a buffet and American breakfast and breakfast in the room is also available. There is a coffee shop, bar and lounge.

If you are looking for a full immersion in the Bedouins' traditions, the Authentic Desert Camp hosted by Saeed is the best experience you could find in Oman desert ! From Omani hospitality to traditional dancing demonstrations, through a full tour of the desert, meet up with camels roaming around, we felt so comfortable with Saeed, who shared with passion all his knowledge with us. Authentic food was served as well, including traditional Omani dishes and fresh grills, including traditional bread cooking in the fire. It was an amazing experience, totally adapted for kids, group of friends and families!
