The dome is fairly small and can be tight if you want to open up your luggage inside but for one person it worked out. Apparently private cars cannot go up to the parking lot of Phu Chi Fa if it’s peak season or a public holiday. Shuttle from the accommo departed at 5:30am (mid-Dec) and cost 40baht one way. To get down, you can simply hop on any shuttle at the lot when you’re ready (I was back at the parking lot around 7:45, not sure how long the shuttles are available for), tell them where you’re going, and it’s another 40baht.
