There is also solar power that kicked in during load- shedding, and the wifi was great. Sophia was very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed paddling on the river on our last day.

The accommodation features airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. The property is in a beautiful location, isolated but not too hard to get to from the main road. Beautiful sea views in a tranquil area. I loved my stay here. There are trails to walk on the forest near the property and curious monkeys would show up in the morning to look at our chalet. Food in the restaurant was really good and I’ve also used the spa, which was amazing after a long flight. Staff were fantastic, so friendly and attentive. Wish I had time to stay longer and hope to come back one day. Book without thinking twice.

We were told repeatedly not to bother with Aberdeen as there is nothing there. However, we had a lovely stoppover with nice friendly hosts. They are working on adding a new coffee shop, so I can only guess the place will be even better.

This Luxury Tent Room has a private entrance with an open plan room with a Double Bed and bathroom with shower. The Luxury Tent Room shares balcony with beautiful views. We had such a great time staying with Mike and Marietjie. The tent was perfect for our family and very close to Addo National Park. The property is very peaceful and we saw lots of wildlife from the tent. The food was perfect and Mike and Marietjie shared lots about the area and the wildlife we saw during our stay. We would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area.

* Visit to a historic Anglo Boer War site during a normal game drive, where the pivotal "Battle of Paardefontein" was fought We had an incredible time and will definitely come back. The location a little bit off the grid and not too many guests was exactly what we wished for, for an intimate game reserve experience! All expectations were exceeded :) From the welcome, to the Manor, to the amazing food, the game drives, star gazing… everything was wonderful and moments we will cherish! We were a bit worried about the 27km gravel road. But in the end even our VW Polo had no problem at all. Just go slow and enjoy the ride, there are wild animals already on the way to the reserve (we saw a lot of giraffes, Kudu, Monkeys…). With some stops to watch the animals, it took us around 1h 15 min.

The Safari drives we got to see most of the animals available there. The Ranger was very insightful and knowledgeable about the animals. The establishment is breathtaking. Peaceful place with great adequate facilities. Each room had its own personal pool and Butler. It's great to see animals wandering around the lodge at a safe distance. Guest were friendly aswell. Great experience. To be repeated again some day.
