The apartment was spacious enough for us as a family of 4 + a small dog. It was also very clean and the heated pool was a plus because the weather in Sagres is quite windy.

We spent eight wonderful vacation days at this magnificent hotel. With only 15 rooms, it always maintains a calm and pleasant atmosphere. Every morning, guests are treated to a rich breakfast buffet with both cold and hot dishes, various types of coffee, tea, and juice, as well as fresh bread and rolls. You can choose to sit indoors or outdoors, depending on your preference. After breakfast, a spacious green area with indoor and outdoor pools and sun loungers invites you to relax. The rooms are spacious, with large bathrooms, generous windows, and balconies or terraces with sea views. In the evening, there is the option to enjoy an excellent dinner. The hotel is extremely clean, always smells pleasant, plays soft music, and has a well-functioning air conditioning system. This eco-friendly retreat offers its guests a unique and responsible experience in harmony with nature. After an interesting conversation with the hotel owner, we also talked about mass tourism and environmental protection. He explained to us that the hotel takes significant measures in the area of nature and environmental protection. The commitment to environmental protection is evident in all aspects of hotel operations. From the use of renewable energy to efficient waste management, the hotel minimizes its ecological footprint: Solar energy: The hotel uses solar panels for water heating and electricity generation, significantly reducing dependence on non-renewable energy sources. Waste management: Strict waste management with recycling and composting programs is implemented. Guests are encouraged to participate in these sustainable practices. Water conservation: Efficient irrigation systems and the use of greywater for garden irrigation contribute to water conservation. To be honest everything. Fabio Greeted us & made us feel very comfortable & gave us the rundown when we arrived. He was an excellent host & offered us things to make our stay more comfortable if we needed them like a fan etc. it’s just about 1.5 kilometre from the beach but as he advised it’s better to drive down as the hill back up could give you problems in the heat & if you were not a strong hill walking person. advice well taken on my behalf. The premises is well located for travelling to Sagres etc & is so quiet you really get a proper relaxing brake. Most of the nights we just stayed on the site & had a bbq & a bottle of wine. Its not the ritz but its clean, comfortable, quirky & has everything on site that you may need. saying that I think there’s only one or two units with washing machines but to us that was not a problem as we just rinsed out our clothes each day after coming back from the beach or wherever. Would I go back again 100%, would I recommend it for a holiday 100%, note, the unit we had didn’t have a microwave or oven but there was no need for one to be honest as between the cooker & bbq we didn’t need anything else. As a couple we had a fantastic relaxing time & we totally enjoyed our stay from start to finish. Fabio is a fabulous host & if needed anything at any time I’m 100% sure he would help you in anyway he could if it’s within his means. We definitely will be going back again without a shadow of a doubt.

We had the most amazing time at Montinho de Ouro! We were super happy we stayed here for our last nights and it was truly a relaxing highlight of our trip to Portugal. After traveling around in a campervan for two weeks, we decided to wrap up our holiday with three nights here, and it was the best decision we could've made. From the moment we arrived at the gate, we were blown away. The peaceful atmosphere, the abundance of fruit trees, surrounded by birds everywhere and blooming flowers in the garden. Everything felt like a dream. A few days before we were in Lisbon for just one day. We left right away because we do not really like the busteling busy city life. I think that is also why we appreciated this place so much too. It was quiet, no people around, no business around, just one with nature and we loved it. What made it even more special was the warmest welcome we've ever received. The host was incredibly kind and made us feel right at home from the very start. All staff members were super friendly in a genuine interested way. Our room was lovely, beautifully decorated, with a huge comfy bed (such a treat after sleeping in a van!), a handy fridge, and a stunning bathroom that gave us major inspiration for our own house back in Aruba! Every detail of our stay felt thoughtful and relaxing. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and definitely planning to return one day.
