The rooms have thick triple glazed windows, so you basically do not even hear the trains passing by. The food store “Lidl” is located just a five-minute walking distance from the accommodation. The apartment has its own dining place and there is also a very good Italian restaurant and cocktail bar just around the corner. Parking is possible in the spacious underground garage for a reasonable additional price. The trains to Eibsee and to the cable car Zugspitze station depart from across the railway.

The location is also perfect, close to the top attractions in the city, making it easy to explore. Most of all, the incredible staff made our stay feel extra special. We’re already planning our next vacation to return here in the winter — can’t wait! Highly recommend for families looking for a fun and relaxing getaway.

Situated in Wallgau, Alpenhof Wallgau is a recently renovated accommodation, 17 km from Richard Strauss Institute and 17 km from Garmisch-Partenkirchen City Hall. There is an in-house restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. The apartment has family rooms. Our apartment was sparkling clean and had everything we needed. The bed was very conform table and the shower was great. The kind owner even brought us extra duvet and heater because I am too sensitive to cold, which I fee truly grateful. We will stay in the same apartment next time we visit this area and we recommend 100% !

We liked the location. It was in center of town near everything. Also, the hospitality of the staff was great, the people were kind.

It was a beautiful place to stay. Very large and felt like we had our own house right in the middle of the town. The proprietors were very kind and you could tell they loved their place as did we. We ate downstairs at the owner’s son‘s restaurant and it was a wonderful experience. They are very kind. Michelin star service but still had a fun casual vibe. The property is non-smoking and is located 11 km from Fernpass. The property was wonderful! The rooms are minimally furnished but tastefully done. The view was spectacular. I loved the shared kitchen and dining room idea. We had take out one evening and shared the space with friends making their own dinner and it was so nice to feel community. If you don’t go shopping, there are plenty of items you can purchase there if you would like to make a meal and special containers in the fridge with the room numbers written so you could have your space. We were right next to the train station but don’t let that deter you! We were never awoken by the train and it was so convenient having it right there. Lovely time on our ski holiday and staff was superb.
