The hotel is 600 metres from the First Cable Car Station and lies 100m above the centre of Grindelwald. Its rooms and sun terrace have magnificent views of the surrounding scenery. The property faces Eiger (mountain/glacier) and having breakfast facing this every morning while the FIRST gondolas pass by and paragliders land on the field next to the hotel is pure Swiss magic. The location bypasses the town buzzing with tourists as it sits 100 meters in elevation above the town- avoiding the congestion of a popular destination. It does however have a walking path into town but, coming back up could be challenging if you’re tired. By the way, we did enjoy the pavlova dessert at the hotel restaurant!

Hirschen is situated in a 17th century landmark building located in Interlaken. This hotel features a garden and free WiFi throughout the property. The property was lovely, quintessentially Swiss and yet modern facilities. Rooms had plenty of space and were so comfortable. We loved the property. Staff were so obliging and helpful. More than happy help with luggage up and down the stairs as there was no elevator due to age of building, The breakfast was delicious and we also dined in the restaurant one evening and it was delicious and very reasonable. Rooms were air conditioned and having access to washing machine, drier and iron for a few francs was great. Location very handy…. Bus stop right outside. I would highly recommend Hotel Hirschen.

Centrally-located modern hotel lined with yellow balconies, opposite the Interlaken West Train Station with links to the Jungfrau Ski Area. Location - 2 mins walk to the station; on the main shopping street ; 5 mins walk to the main square; lots of food options and supermarket around. Very comfortable stay and helpful staff.

Just minutes walking from Interlaken West station. I didn’t expect this apartment could be so large and modern. Almost brand new one! Two large rooms with soft beds and TVs, one even get access to the winter garden. The dinning room is super big as well. The most stunning thing is the view directly facing the snow mountain. You can even see 🪂 in good weather. I can’t never forget the morning when I open the window, heavy snow turns the world totally into a wonderland. Amazing experience, high value for money, thank you host!

We had a lovely stay at this 10 out of 10 chalet. Marianne and Erwin were kind and welcoming hosts who made us feel at home. The room was clean, modern, and well-equipped - we had everything we needed. The location worked well for us too, with easy bus access to town (just a few minutes ride). We particularly enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and beautiful views - perfect for relaxing after a day out. A great base for exploring the area - we'd happily stay here again! Highly recommended!!

I cannot express how much I am grateful to find this place! This apartment was just chef's kiss to our already amazing Switzerland experience. I would 100 percent recommend and very willing to come back again. 1. Clear check in/out instruction: Host provided a clear instruction on check in prior to our visitation. He even provided a video on how to open main doors and obtain keys. I was traveling with elder parents and it was dark and cold. Because of the clear instruction, we successfully checked in without a single issue. Check out guideline was also on the wall in the kitchen. We followed as instructed and left without any hustle 2. Very clean and tidy 3. Heater: All heaters were working and kept us warm from Interlaken's cold weather. We turned them off when we are getting out for the day and turn them back on when we come back. It warmed the room pretty quickly. And also helped drying our small laundry items super fast! 4. Location: It was less than 5 min walk from both grocery market and the train/bus stations. Host even provided us with the interlaken pass where we can ride Yellow bus and some trains within interlaken for free! So we had no proble using public transportation around to explore the city. We fell in love with the city and this place was part of the BIG reason we fell in love. I will definitely come back here again during my next trip to Switzerland!

Great Location, calm area, 2 mins distance to bus stand, grocery store. View of the mountains from balcony was wonderful. To reach the place, most efficient way is to get the Bus No. 105 from Interlaken West station & drop at Matten b. I. Gsteigstrasse, it is a 1 min walk or you may take Bus No. 104 from Interlaken OST station & drop at Matten b. I., Mattenstrasse then 1 min walk (follow the google map). Very comfortable beds and maximum 6 people can accommodate comfortably. The only problem is that it have only 1 bathing area (with WC) & 1 separate WC which is a bit issue (those who preferred bathing in the morning). However all other amenities are exceptionally good. You get a full fledged kitchen. Our stay was WONDERFUL!!!
