Hotel Jägerhof enjoys a quiet location close to the centre of Zermatt, a 5-minute walk from the Klein Matterhorn cable car. It has a gym and offers free WiFi. My room was spacious and comfortable, and everything worked well. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were excellent, and dinners were outstanding (I decided to eat only at the hotel). Location was good: it's around 10 minutes easy walk to the town centre, and the hotel provides a bus to ferry guests to and from the train station.

We reached this property little late. Google address pointing slight deviated location, but it is just behind it. The information provided by the host, worked well. We got confused of the location at first because I have forgotten that it was at the end of the road going up the hill. The neighboring house was cutting logs and it was all over the place so we thought we were in the wrong area. He moved his stuff though to let us through. The owner met us and explained everything and showed us where the key box is. There were 2 rooms, bedroom and living/kitchen. The toilet/bath is spacious, it also has washing machine inside. The view is AMAZING, made it even more special with the snow and the train passing through every so often. We left our car and walked to the train station to go to Zermatt, it was quite a walk esp when it's snowing and also when you are very tired at the end of the day, also uphill. But the view of the log houses and tiny church made it special.
