The staff were all very friendly, welcoming and professional. The staff also made contact on a few occasions before we arrived to see if they could organise any trips for us and what type of pillows we would like. They even arranged with the local police to allow our vehicle through the road closure to access the hotel. The breakfast was exceptional, there was a great choice of food and other items were prepared on request. Coffee and tea were also freshly made on request. .The room was very well appointed, as was the bathroom. 1 class all round.

This is a really special spot to take a break on the Camino. The property itself is really impressive, and unlike anything else we encountered. The restaurant and the food were both really nice. The attention from the owner was exceptional. Casa Grande Hotel is not cheap, but it is a totally different proposition to anything else you might find on the Camino. For those not walking the Camino, it would still be a really great spot for a night or two away in the wilds of rural La Rioja.
